Almost Perfect
I hunt the western high country which mean I hunt some steep and rugged areas and the Diablo pack has been a great pack that has met my needs very well. A few minor modifications would make this the perfect pack – adding just a fraction more capacity to each pocket, improving the waist belt to help support more load and adding a blaze orange flap to assist hauling game out of the back country would make this the PERFECT PACK!! The vent structure works great! Theres nothing worse than hiking in the dark for an hour at near freezing temps to arrive with a soaked back. The vent structure prevents this from happening. Great pack and with the minor modifications would be the perfect pack.

Hyper ACTIVE
Ive had this pack for almost 3 years now. Hunting black tail and pig in mid aug. in 100 degree heat out in CA, this pack keeps your back from sweating profusely. The main compartment is huge, the shoulder straps are comfy, the entire thing is just perfect. Even packing out meat, (i had and entire blacktails meat) and this thing still sat comfortably on my back and made for a easy 5 mile+ hike out. Couldn't ask for more in a mid size pack. And again, the Hypervent is truly amazing.

It's like a closet
I absolutely love this pack. I'm a hardcore whitetail bowhunter meaning I'm in a tree off the ground 90% of the time in the south. This pack is like having a closet in the tree with me. It packs beautifully and the hypervent system is extremely handy and cool when battling the humidity of Ga in early to late Sept. It hanldles my stuff nicely and is extremely well made. I've had cheaper less expensive packs for years but never again! It's worth every penny!!!

Diablo--Best pack yet
I've owned many packs. This one will not ever be left at home. 40lbs may be a stretch due to capacity, but 20-30lbs is no problem. When climbing 1000+ feet at tree-line, the ventilation provided by the hyper-vent suspension is key. I sweat incredibly less than usual. I carried a 105oz full water bladder, wool sweater, spotting scope, tripod (on the side/mesh pocket strap), large bugle (on the other side), game bags/rubber gloves/trash bags, 4 elk calls/2 predator calls, 3 knives/bone saw, gloves, protein bars, space blanket, fire starter, and muzzle loader possibles. It could carry everything I needed and more. This pack will be going to Alaska next year, and I can guarantee that it will be on my back all 65 days. This pack has many uses.

El Diablo is Heavenly
El Diablo is an amazing all around pack. I use this pack year round and it takes all the abuse I dish out. I use it hunting, fishing, on prescribed fires, and with my Ph.D. field research. The supervents and hydration compartment come in handy in South Texas heat. During my deer research its storage and organizational capabilities are of tremendous use the in field when I'm capturing deer or performing surveys. Whether you want something that you can wear all day and not feel it the next, or an organizational nut and want your stuff easily accessible, or just a pack that can take a beating then I would recommend this pack. Oh and did I mention Bandlands incredible one of a kind warranty that other places can't compete with...

Best Day Pack, Hands Down
I have used this pack for multi-day hikes, packing out bear, shed hunting, travel, and anything else you can imagine! great pack with just enough pockets and straps to carry anything you may need. Add the water bladder and you'll be set to pack out on even the hottest days. Top it all off with the best possible warranty and unreal customer service. Very impressed with both Badlands and this pack!!!

Amazing Diablo
Amazing how light this pack is, and once again the awesome hypervent suspension, i do a lot of hiking during the hunting season and in Northern Idaho there is not much flat ground. So it keeps me cool all day long. And the amount of things that can be packed into are just amazing and it packs so well.

Amazing pack
I use this every weekend and every hunt from archery deer and elk to crawling canyons looking for sheds. Amazing pack, light and comfortable, never gets sweaty. Holds all my stuff easily and after many years, it looks like new. I love this pack!

Incredible Pack
I have owned this pack for just over 6 months now but have hunted with it about 65 times. It has been in hot weather (100degrees)and cold weather (20 degrees) and has performed flawlessly. It is a great pack for a day hunt and a wonderful "second" pack to the OX. I would recommend this pack to anyone looking for a great pack, at a reasonable price. Thank you Badlands for another great pack.
