Fabrics

Unconditional hunting gear starts with the best fabrics and materials.

ABOUT BADLANDS FABRIC

Before we stitch a single thread on one of our new hunting packs or jackets, we choose the material we're going to work with. And sometimes, what's on the market isn't good enough—so we create our own. Every decision we make is based on what you're hunting, where you're going and how you're getting there. Meet the fruits of our camo-covered labors.

DURASPUN MERINO FABRIC

Tough and durable never seems to coincide with soft and comfortable. Or, it didn't, until we designed DuraSpun Merino. This fabric combines the softness and natural moisture-wicking, odor-fighting capabilities of Merino wool with the strength of Cordura®, one of the toughest threads on Earth. Try it on a piece of Pecora apparel or our Variant Hoodie.

KXO-32™ FABRIC

After 31 attempts that were good—just not good enough for Badlands—we landed on our KXO-32™ fabric. It's one of the strongest, quietest, and most waterproof materials you'd ever hope to take into the field.

KXO-50™ FABRIC

For years, KXO-32™ has been our standard—but it never hurts to raise the bar. KXO-50™ fabric is just as durable, tough and quiet as its predecessor, with one key difference: it's even lighter. We put this reliable material to work on pieces like the Vario Pack System, the Connect pack and the 2200.

Eclipse™ Air-Vent Fabric

To keep you cool without adding bulk, the ultra-light Eclipse™ Air-Vent Fabric has tiny perforations that let air in and moisture out. Plus, it shields you from the sun with built-in UPF protection.
